Chinese Enterprises Donate Epidemic Prevention Supplies to Bangladesh, Malaysia, Morocco and Thailand

A donation ceremony for epidemic prevention and control supplies themed “Working in Solidarity to Fight COVID-19” was held in Beijing on the afternoon of April 20. The Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), in cooperation with six enterprises including Jiangsu Huangpu Recycling Resources Co., Ltd., Wuhan Easy Diagnosis Biomedicine Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Junger Co., Ltd., Yunnan Gongrunxiang Tea Development Co., Ltd., Shijiazhuang Yiling Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and Hubei Li Shizhen Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., have sent urgently needed supplies including nucleic acid testing kits, rapid detection kits, disposable medical masks, bacteriostatic cleansing fluid and traditional Chinese medicine worth about 4.66 million yuan (about US$657,000) to Bangladesh, Malaysia, Morocco, and Thailand to support their fight against COVID-19.

CPAFFC President Lin Songtian, former Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing, Bangladeshi Ambassador to China Mahbub Uz Zaman, Malaysian Ambassador to China Raja Dato’ Nushirwan Zainal Abidin, Thai Ambassador to China Arthayudh Srisamoot, and Minister of the Moroccan Embassy in China Mourad Layachi addressed the event. About 50 Chinese and foreign representatives attended the donation ceremony, including Li Xikui, vice president of CPAFFC and president of the China Foundation for Peace and Development, Chen Guangbiao, chairman of Jiangsu Huangpu Recycling Resources Co., Ltd., Guo Ziying, CDO of Wuhan Easy Diagnosis Biomedicine Co., Ltd., and journalists from 15 mainstream media organizations.
