“The Harder They Fall, the Stronger They Will Bounce Back”

I always believe the Chinese are like “the harder they fall, the stronger they will bounce back.” My sincere gratitude is to the Chinese people for accepting me as one of their own, and that China will get back to normal soon is clearly visible.

China is my home away from home. It has been my fourth year in this country, and I have enjoyed every moment spent here. I have experienced the mysterious and beautiful landscapes of China, and the delicious cuisines here have filled my stomach as well as my heart. The friendly and generous people of China have made every day a new experience worthy to be noted in a travelogue.

Such an exhilarating experience shaped up a deep pain in my heart on hearing of the recent novel coronavirus pneumonia gripping China. I saw that many Chinese families suffered in this epidemic. I have kept a close eye on the actions taken by the Chinese government in curbing the epidemic, and it is impressive how the Chinese people are handling this grim situation. Health officials are working day and night far away from their loved ones, and defence personnel are managing public security with brave, strenuous efforts. The unity displayed by the Chinese people is unmatchable. Other countries should take a lesson from China’s efforts in fighting the epidemic.

Knowing China from its pulse, I am aware of the hardworking, never-give-up spirit of the Chinese people. I always believe the Chinese are like “the harder they fall, the stronger they will bounce back.” My sincere gratitude is to the Chinese people for accepting me as one of their own, and that China will get back to normal soon is clearly visible. I stand hand in hand with the Chinese people in this tough situation. Stay strong, China!
