The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has gone through 20 years of openness, inclusiveness and moral justice. In 20 years, the SCO has grown into a big family comprising eight member states, four observers and six dialogue partners living in harmony.

The achievements of the SCO in the past 20 years are inseparable from the efforts of its members in the early days. Grigory is a Russian diplomat who has been directly involved in the work of the SCO since August 1, 2001. He witnessed the development of the SCO from the original "Shanghai Five" to the largest international cross-regional organization. All member states follow the Shanghai Spirit of "mutual trust, mutual benefit, equality, consultation, respect for diverse civilizations, and seek common development", and continue to deepen mutual political trust, pragmatic cooperation, and cultural exchanges. The SCO has become an important multilateral cooperation platform and model for international relations.
