About Us

China Pictorial is an illustrated magazine launched by China Pictorial Publications, which was founded in 1950 under China International Communications Group (CICG). The English edition of China Pictorial has been published monthly since 1951. It focuses on current cultural, social and economic topics, endeavoring to paint an accurate picture of modern China from diverse angles through vivid photography.

The China-India Dialogue project is a multimedia platform of China Pictorial Publications that includes print magazines, websites, social media and other China-India cooperative publications. The print magazine of China-India Dialogue, published in English, Chinese and Hindi, is the first ever publication in China to be dedicated to India. The magazine, published and released in both countries, mainly deals with analysis of cultural and economic topics related to China and India and their bilateral relationship.

Job Description and Required Qualification

a) For Video Host

Hosting and planning for video programs in vlog style, selecting interesting topics and writing scripts for the video programs, and editing videos

◆ Bachelor’s degree or above, with 2 years of working experience of video hosting, editing or production;

◆ English native speakers or local Indians with proficient English language skills;

◆ Be friendly to China and acquire a certain knowledge of China and its essential policies, Chinese speakers preferred;

◆ Ability to commit to at least one year of full-time work.

b) For English Journalist & Editor

Interviewing of editorial subjects and sources, writing, editing and photographing for the China Pictorial and China-India Dialogue magazines, websites and social media accounts

◆ Bachelor’s degree or above, with 2 years of working experience in English, Journalism, International Relations, Literature or other relevant fields;

◆ English native speakers or local Indians with proficient English language skills;

◆ Be friendly to China and acquire a certain knowledge of China and its essential policies, those who can speak Chinese preferred;

◆ Ability to commit to at least one year of full-time work.

c) For English Language Consultant

Language polishing for the China Pictorial and China-India Dialogue magazines, websites and social media accounts

◆ Excellent writing skills and work experience in the politics, economy or media;

◆ Bachelor’s degree or above, with 2 years of working experience in English, Journalism, International Relations, Literature or other relevant fields;

◆ English native speakers or with proficient English language skills;

◆ Be friendly to China and acquire a certain knowledge of China and its essential policies, those who can speak Chinese preferred;

◆ Ability to commit to at least one year of full-time work.

d) For Designer

Designing the format, videos, and charts and graphs for the China Pictorial and China-India Dialogue magazines, websites and social media accounts

◆ Bachelor’s degree or above, with 2 years of working experience in Multi-media Design, Media, Animation, Marketing, IT or other relevant fields;

◆ Be creative and familiar with graphic design and art production, proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign and other design and video editing software;

◆ A working knowledge of new media and cutting-edge trends in journalism;

◆ Be friendly to China and acquire a certain knowledge of China and its essential policies;

◆ Ability to commit to at least one year of full-time work.
